Thread: Problem Posters...

Over the last several days, NIK has been attacked more than a few times by problem posters who cannot seem to understand our new 'Terms of Service'.

I'd invite anyone posting here to look them over carefully.

Since we rebuilt the site and instituted new rules, viewership participation has actually grown somewhat. NIK enjoys a little over 12,000 unique visitors per week, and we're happy to have everyone engage in honest and respectable discussion.

I believe most of our readers would agree. Page views (the number of pages a 'unique' visitor looks at) have gone from 3 to 9. I suspect that's entirely due to our stance that 'trash' posts are no longer tolerated here (or just about anywhere else, for that matter).

I allowed the Forum to become something I had not intended previously... and it is not our intention to let that happen again.

If that means there are only 10-20 or 100 people exchanging ideas or information that's informative and intelligent... so be it.

Those that don't like intelligent conversation are urged to find other outlets for their anger. It's not productive and not welcome.

Feel free to disagree with anyone posting commentary at NIK... but do it as if you were sitting right next to them instead of anonymously on a computer.

NIK I was amazed at the attempt to disrupt the forum in the last few days with attacks on everyone. The rules of operation for posters is fair and needed to keep people who attempt to disrupt NIK on a leash.........I will commend you and Patiwaq for you clean up effort over the last few days, going above and beyond to enforce the rules and delete the disruptive posters.
