Ferguson posted way too many times on here how great he is and how he has a plan. We are all sick of hearing from him. With only 28 years as a cop and no business experience or formal education to speak of, what makes him qualified?? He may be qualified to work as a road deputy, but what leadership roles does he possess, what practical experience does he have?? Just being a cop will not cut it any more.

Deputy Ferguson has a plan that has been outlined in both newspapers. Changes in revenue generation, work release programs, linear jail and pension distribution for retired members only to mention a few! The guy has some great ideas and has made them public knowledge. I have not heard one new/progressive idea from the Rodgers or Tarh camp, makes you wonder if they even have any ideas of their own or if they want things to stay just like they are??? I want a sheriff that can think ahead! GO FERGUSON!!!

I agree with this post. HCSD needs a fresh start.

Howard Co. deserves nothing but the best. If he can train a dog as well as the State Police troopers say he can, He is doing something right. The Northwestern families think he is the answer. Street smart was Bob Sargents strong point, This guy reminds me of SARGE!

Hey Ferg, you only get one vote. Unlike this site where you can post over and over you can only vote for yourself 1 time. I agree that hcsd needs a fresh start, Ferg is old school and not a fresh start. We need to get some new blood in, not one of the good ole boys listed here. Ferg is voting for himself, we get it.

You know everyone wants to cut Ferg down but that is coming from some of the people that obviously have had a bad run in with him. Ferg has a plan for the department as a whole and not the plan that Marty has used to run the depet into shame!! One of the plans is to put the corrections division on a level playing field instead of admin picking and choosing what they want to fire people for or what BS excuse they pull out of the magic playbook to get it done. The plan is to put corrections on a merit system such as patrol where they can actually fight the charges that are brought upon them. He has my vote, hell I might just come back and work under his administration.

Why put them under the merit system half of the cant do the job and the other half are wanna-be's. They deserve to be fired, remember Fisher marked you people as "at will employees" and rightly so! Cut him down you say, lets look at how he's done business over the years. Lets see always running down ALL admin when they are not around, including his female Cpl. What was that statement he made? Oh yea, keep your co-workers close and your enemys even closer!

How about stabbing everone in the back when they are not around and bad mouthing everone from the Merit board to the commissioners. How about his "Jerry marr" approach to making promises and plans. as with Jerry if he said the sun was shining you would look for yourself because you couldnt believe a word he said. The same applies to Ferguson!

Ive never been "called out or had a run in" with Ferguson as people keep saying when others point out his flaws, which are many. I have worked around him for several years and I see his cowboy antics behind the scene. I have learned to ingnore him while he pats his own back and spreads rumors. You go in survival mode and do your job and not let someone like him get you off track from your jobs purpose of law enforcement.
What kind of Sgt tells his shift to ingnore orders from the admin to do something?
What kind of Sgt makes fun of his Cpl's speach problem?
What kind of Sgt cuts his department and his own people down in front of KPD and other officers. FERGUSON does!

This guy rides the fence more than Trott does and in his own words, that apply to him,"if his lip are moving he is lying", this is the statement he made about Marr and Marty. You must be one the dozen or so young boys he took under his wing at NW and were willing to listen to his storys. If not you must be a corrections office that he is promising the world to and will not be able to make their dreams come true. Poster remember behind the scenes he is another person. Because if the public could hear or see his comments about people, admin county fathers and others they would wash their hand of him. So get off your little "I love Ferg and want to have his baby kick" because he's not that special!

Ferguson must be doing some things right, he sure does have a bunch of support early in this campaign. He seems very down to earth out in public. I did not know that he was a SGT. in rank, like I said, he must be doing well to earn high rank.

Isnt Sgt the first rung on all ladders?? Isnt sgt the most common and easily attained promotion?? Isnt Sgt so low of rank that it doesnt even count as admin?? Get a grip, Sgt is not a real promotion and is definatly not an administrative position. When you see that someone has only risen to the rank of SGT you can assume that they are not fit to lead. And Ferg has little or no support. Other than on this page you cant find two people that know him or support him.....Get over yourself Ferg and quit posting here so much you look desperate.
