All troopers should stay out of the sheriff's departments. Agreed that Rogers is washed up. His time has come and gone and Dinardo hasn't claimed he was running. That only leaves Ferguson and this Everling as supposedly viable candidates. Not sure what Ferguson's experience is when it comes to running anything but his mouth. He always had an ego problem in school and it carried over into adulthood. I don't know this Everling guy but I heard he was a county councilman or commissioner or something like that? Not sure which party he was elected by. Sounds like this could be anyone's race.

I agree about Fergie his ego is too big and he is know for favortism. I find him to be very two faced, one second being nice to you and the next second he's bad mouthing you behind your back. A classic example is him mocking his Cpl's speach problem behind her back. I agree this is anyones race. Everling has always done his job and been honest. He has experiece from being on the Town Board and as a supervisor on the SD he's has seen the problems. I found Everling to treat all employees even, whether you work in corrections, civilian staff or on the road. He cares about fast response time and treating the public with respect.

This is one race that could suprise everyone! Its time for a change and a canidate who would get the department back on track without being self-serving as the others have proven they are.

Posters you need to read Fergusons blog entrys...... Someone named "Ron" asked questions on two diffrent issues and Ferguson danced around the questions so bad the poster had to re-ask the questions. Sounds like Ferguson is going to be a canidate who will not give you a streight answer.

Everling is a experienced Sargent on the Sheriffs department. Unlike others he earned his rank by doing his job. He has been a active member of the Greentown board for several years and has been reported to have done a outstanding job. This guy is worth watching because he is honest and has integrity. This is the kind of person Howard County needs running the Sheriffs department. Good luck Todd, you have the support of many.......

Glad to see Todd finally stepping up to the plate.
He has a level head and easy going personality. They need common sense and sanity restored to that department.

I agree......... We havent seen common sense and sanity since Marty was voted in. Eastern Howard county is behind Everling for quality law enforcement!
