    Default Great one Stoner

LOL, still got it stoner..... But vote they will, and it will be big changes for Miami County. I think the Sheriff is term limited like ours, so that one is a sure thing regardless of how they vote. The prosecutor is going to be the one to watch, they hate that guy up there...

Yep...two terms and the Sheriff is out. I don't know the prosecutor. Its Eric something or other...I think?

Seems all prosecutors have an attitude. Why is that?

    Default Sounds familiar

Isnt Howard County getting a new prosecutor as well? And isnt our Sheriff an ex trooper that is term limited as well?? Very similar stories huh. Will be very interesting to see how these develop.....

Hopefully whomever gets in will have the people's values in their heart.

    Default Peru Tribune Front Page

Front page of the tribune is all about the new sheriff and prosecutor candidates in Miami County. I dont know much about Miller (and no one else seems to either). But Vanbaalen is very clear about his background and outlook. The prosecutor candidate is amazing. That race will be over quick. I am waiting along with all of Miami county to hear what the other Sheriff candidate has to say, no web site, little public involvment, where is he, who is he?? I cant believe we are all still waiting to hear more.

    Default I also saw this.

What a team, only wish Howard County had people like this to run. I also heard the Logansport Chief is running, those troopers are going to get their test this time around!!! They have not had this kind of quality challengers in the past.

    Default Word from the North

A deputy told me last night that Vanbaalen was now unopposed. He said the other candidate may be changing his mind and not running. I guess time will tell. This is the only county I have seen with only 1 or 2 candidates for sheriff.
