Default Ive known Steve Rogers since high school

I wish to endorse Steve Rogers for Howard County Sherriff, my experience with Candidate Rogers ,is the knowledge ,that this man is has personal integrity, he has always been willing to discuss matters of justice at any time, and he returns his phone calls .Steve Rogers has impressive credentials which would be an incredibly effective asset to the citizens of Howard County. This man can bring justice to criminals, protect the innocent, and has the skills and knowledge to determine the difference. The proverbial "sheep in wolfs clothing" is alive and well in our County. I believe that Steve Rogers is the man who can separate the wheat from the chaff, with freedom and justice for all. ThankYou For Reading...The Reformed Republican

    Cool fraidycat

The garbage that is posted on this site by employees of the Sheriff's Department makes me want to vote for the most hated members of the department. It only makes sense these most hated employees may be the ones who have enough common sense to conduct themselves with an ounce of self-respect and maturity.

A vote for Rogers is a vote to set the department back 20 years.

After taking a good hard look at the candidates for sheriff you cnt but help come to the conclusion that Steve Rogers is the only one of the group who can do the job and do it right.

    Default Agreed

I dont know any of the candidates personally, so I have to go with what I read and have heard. I would have to agree that Rogers is the best candidate filed. I know that Troopers are off everyones list, and the other candidates have so many mean and nasty people pushing them it turns me off. So Rogers is the one with the best background and most prepared to be Sheriff.

I saw Steve Rogers picture on his signs and he looks like a fossil! So many years in law enforcement sure shows on his face. He needs to check into a retirement home and call it a career. Should have left the picture off the signs.

Default Troopers are off everyones list for sure

I would be surprised if any trooper wins Sheriff in any county they are running in (which is most). Most people have woke up to the trooper retirement plan and recognize that just being a trooper does not qualify you to be sheriff. I also think the quality of candidates in all the races has really improved and will shove the troopers down the list. Most dont have any college or real administrative experience, and none have any real business experience. Real change is coming for all counties around.

This race is between Tarrh, Everling and Rogers. The winner will take the fall election hands down because of Vincent’s HORRIBLE history. Don’t be fooled by Steve, he is all smoke and mirrors. He comes from the old school where his buddies like McGraw, Maus, Smith and Guge ran amuck and did what they wanted to with NO accountability. Steve has been off the street 98% of his career and he has lost touch with the reality of what goes on inside the department. His sit back and let it happen approach to managing allows people to remain stuck in the rut they have been in for many years. Steve and his choice of Maus or Hargrove as his Major will set the department back 10 years.

Don’t be fooled by his so claim to fame of going to the FBI academy. Many years ago it was common place for officers to attend a "specialized school" at the FBI academy. IT'S NOT THE SAME SCHOOL THAT FULL TIME F.B.I. AGENTS GO THROUGH! All the education in the world will not make a good leader unless they have leadership abilities and respect.

Keep in mind Steve Rogers retired form the Sheriffs department seven and a half years ago with a full pension he is drawing. He became Talberts Major making Majors pay on top of his pension for seven and a half years. Now rather than go back to retirement when Talbert leaves he wants the Sheriffs job to sweeten up his paycheck. The guys believe Steve has been a fair deputy but its time for him retire and allow some fresh blood take the helm! The old school tatics are no longer good for the public or the employees. TIME TO MOVE ON STEVE!

Steve I assure you the deputies and CO's are behind you. No one wants Vincent and Phipps running the show with their pasts (Roy, everyone will be reading about you and your buddy soon). Ferguson is too busy trying to figure out what party he want to be loyal to and quoting Rush Limbaugh.

Steve Rogers is the only hope for HCSD!

    Default Everyone agree's with this

Steve will fix the "state police"mess once and for all. We are all way over due getting a real honest to goodness police man in charge of the Sheriff Department. We see the same lack of leadership in other counties where state police have retired into cush retirement jobs. Steve will be the leader we have all been waiting for.
