Question 3/8/10 Kokomo H.S. Shooting threat?

Has anyone heard anything about a shooting threat for Kokomo High School for 3/8/10???

My son recieved a phone call from a girl he goes to school with at KHS, and her Aunt works in the Office at KHS, this girl proceeded to tell my son that her Aunt had called her and told her there was a shooting threat for KHS on monday.

Has anyone else heard of this?

Was this girl playing a prank on my son?

Is this true? Was it a prank?

    hi...

My girl called me at 7:02am from the high school and told me kids were leaving or just not showing up due to some sort of "gun threat". Kids could leave school and not have a unexcused absence. She asked me if she could come home and i told her to stay there. She texted around 8:30am saying there were only 4 or 5 kids in class and there was a strong police presence at the school. At 10:30am she came home for lunch still shook, so i called the school and asked the attendance office what was up with a "gun threat". The person in the attendance office simply asked for my girls name and said "ok, i've put her name on the list". Daughter didn't go back and i haven't heard anything else.

    edited to add:

grapevine tells me it was some gang related graffiti on a bathroom wall and authorities are taking appropriate measures and the school is safe

My child was so shook up over it i let her stay home. Since then i heard from another mother that a gun was found in a locker so i asked my child. I asked my child and she told me the rumor is 3 guns found in lockers and 2 in the career center but that the teachers deny any being found. I said of course they would deny it. They were probably warned to deny it to keep the kids and parents calmed down.

its getting to where the schools need metal detectors.

Odd, we used to shoot the 50 ft .22rf RANGE under the highschool, up in Ft Wayne.

Must not be a school or gun issue............................

No, are you trying to say the Individual could be responsible ??
