Man what a way to start the week. My wife decided to to take our children to school this morning and to make a long story short the man in front of her waiting to exit onto a county road, backs up and rams into the front of our van. He then proceedes to get out and becomes belligerant and actually blames her for the accident.
Look my wife is not perfect but we have been married for eighteen years and she has no problem taking responsibility for her mistakes, especially while driving. Afterall she still tells people that she married me, lol.
So the sherriff comes to my house to determine what had happened and after a short interview decided the was no need to persue the matter further. That would have normally been fine with me but this guy struck me as a bully so I wanted to give him the oppertunity to bully this 6'5" male like he did my 5'6" wife. so I proceeded to the school and noticed him heading my way. I turned around and followed him to a local fast food establishment and told him exactly what I thought of him. Just as expected he did not have much to say when confronted by a man. Of course he did call the Po-Po so I recieved a stern talking to.
Keep in mind I am usually a mild mannered guy, but if you screw with my family I tend to take it personally. As far as this episode it is done. I just hope the next time the bad driver causes a problem he will think twice before going off.

Make sure you tell your insurance company the whole story..they can refuse to pay out claims to him for being naughty

Nah....a good lawyer can beat that. The man was obviously stressed. A simple rehearsed apology and he's free of any additional responsibility.

Did he just use the terms "good" and lawyer in the same sentance?? Those two words do not go together in American Society. IT is evil scum sucking and then lawyer...

Try going into court facing a serious problem without a lawyer....The system will eat you alive. Sit in an interrogation room without a lawyer...the cops will confuse you and use everything you say. If you can't afford a lawyer one will be appointed for you. Our judicial system knows the importance for you to have a lawyer present.

If you are seriously ill you want the best doctor available. If you somehow get wrapped up in litigation you want the best lawyer available. If someone causes you a debilitating injury or the death of a loved one you would scream for justice. You can sit there slamming lawyers all you want but if you needed one you would be hustling to get the best.

Don't blame lawyers for the miscarriages of justice. They are only using the current laws at hand. Blame the law makers.

Lawyers have for years been on top of he list of those most disrespected by society. Right above used car salesmen and snake oil sales men. I like the part about the police "talking you into a confession". Love those guys that didnt really kill someone, but after a brief conversation with police they go ahead and say they did anyway. LOL... I got an idea, dont commit crimes and dont worry about needing a lawyer. 90% of us will never "need" the services of a blood sucking lawyer and thank god. The price of medical care is so high, thanks to lawyers. The price of almost everything is too high, thanks to lawyers. They prey upon the weak and make money from misery. They love you to be sick or hurt so they can profit from your misfortune....Just a guess here, but some one in your family is a lawyer, right?

Ford's fiery Pinto lawsuit. They won the case but learned it would be too expensive to continue with the faulty Pinto.
An Airliner crashing because of someone's fault?....no problem. It was only 200 people that lost their lives. More to die if the problem isn't corrected through litigation.
The truck driver that has been on the road for 16 hours wipes out the breadwinner of a family. No problem just put his survivors on welfare.
A black man is discriminated against. No problem. Send him down the road. He can get another job, or house, etc.
The list is continuous.

Laws are used to change/instill a societal behavior or a corporate policy negatively affecting people and/or the environment.
I am so glad this is a land of law not men. Narrow minded people like you think if someone is arrested they are guilty and that all cops and judges are gods beyond reproach.

Ok so you dont want to answer the question about someone in your family being a lawyer, probably a son or daughter. You also know that if you say yes then your argument becomes mute. Anyway simple test here:

How many people reading this have "had to hire a lawyer" to protect you in a criminal court?
How many people have had someone do something wrong to them and got away with it?
How many more people committ crimes and do get away with it, compare to how many are falsely charged and convicted (which is a miniscule number like .00001 %)

So now that we have decoded the protective parent or family member from the facts we arrive at why lawyers are the most disrespected and least trusted members of society. Fun huh. Gotta love all those liberal trial lawyers too.
