Default Goodnight loses more jobs - Baddays for Kokomo

Now even more jobs are being lost under Goodnight's watch. We started the week learning that Delphi will cut 600 high paying salaried jobs from Kokomo. We now end the week learning the Kokomo Pottery is shutting its doors for good. All under Goodnight's watch and what did he do to try to keep these jobs here? Nothing as far as the papers have reported. More business property off the property tax rolls for the few homeowners left to pick up the tab.

Goodnight = more baddays for Kokomo.

As Ronald Reagan use to say - 'there you go again" NIK again deleting post who does not accept the bs on here. Again, the facts are the Pottery announced its closing last year and again, a few years ago Delphi was at 13,000 employees. Remember the day it was announced that there would be major closures of Delphi? Mitch and McKillip visted Delphi and spoke with the management - that was the day that Mitch proclaimed that well, there will still be jobs at Delphi, they may only be $9 an hour but $9 an hour is a good job.

Now, because of the profound bias on this site, you want to blame Goodnight. Well it is just more BS and obviously NIK doesn't like me saying that because anytime I attempt to correct a poster when they are so wrong, NIK deletes the post.

Good job John, but deleting the post doesn't make these wacko's factual.

Wow! really? wow! Goodnight and his economic development director, Ms. Cooke, had better learn how to deal with stuff like this. He has added no new jobs yet but lost more than any other I can recall. Too bad for all of us as it impacts us financially.

Day after day we hear of hundreds of new jobs in Carmel, Noblesville, Westfield, etc. but all we hear in Kokomo is that Goodnight loses hundreds of jobs. Goodnight's team must not be doing a good job of selling Kokomo to these firms going else where. Too bad really.

Huh?

I don't recall deleting anything that pertained to this discussion, or others like it.

If you have more to say, please post it.

Then, we'll talk about your issues further here.

Default And we're living here in Kokomo...

And its getting very hard to STAY.......

Look Out, Kokomo!

** NIK Note ... non-working link of the same song replaced with another. I'm a Billy Joel fan so I knew what to look for.
Concert footage at Olympic Stadium, Moscow, July 27, 1987.

I'm no fan of Goodnight but this is a trend during these harsh economic times that is not specific to just the Kokomo area. Very little a small time mayor like Goodnight could do to reverse the trend.

Mitch Daniels has lost more jobs than McKillip and Goodnight put together.
