Default Injuries/law Suits?

Today while driving downtown Kokomo, in 2 hours, I counted 16 bicycles being riden on the sidewalks. I drove over by City Hall. While sitting at the light I saw 3 ride right in front of City Hall..When are they goin to post signage and write the tickets? I told my mother if she gets hit to sue the rider AND Kokomo for all that the law will allow!

You should be watching the road and not counting bicycles thats what causes the accidents

Good lord...Bikes have been around riding on sidewalks for a hundred years...Just takes a little common sense to watch out for them. Why not say the same about joggers, they go fast...they don't pay attention and may knock you down...Just keep an eye out for them!...Surely you can find something to do other than walk around all day finding someone to sue...buncha money hungry americans! If you would put as much energy into actually doing something to change the law trather than sitting in your big ol' lazy boy eatin' chips thinkin about suing someone...the city/nation would be a much happier place!

I don't need to change the law...It Already exists!
Bicycles are not to be riden on the sidewalks downtown!
In suburbs it's ok for the kids to ride on sidewalks, plenty of space and time to see whats coming..However, downtown.. businesses and city departments have many seniors and children walking in and out of doors not expecting to be slamed to the concrete by some idiot going 25mph on a sideWALK...SideWALKS are supposed to be for people to safely WALK out of harms way of moving vehicles...The only reason I tell people to sue..is because NO ONE ENFORCES the law that is already in place concerning this...So if anyone gets mowed down and injured..You'll just tell them to let it go? Sounds like you are The Chip eating no brains boy...Check any REAL city and you'll see they have NO BIKES on their sideWALKS...Ask any attorney what they would do for someone struck and injured on a sidewalk by a bike or skateboard......Check out our City Of Kokomo economy..and even you will see Kokomo doesn't need to pay out $$$$$$ for a law suit..That an injured person would certainly win......The only lazy ones are those who won't speak up before this accident waiting to happen does...

You are right...KPD needs to convert all of its manpower to this felonious act!!!!! This is not Greentown or Russiaville...there is actual crime in this community....bike laws are not high on the priority list. It is not that I am a know it all....I just thought that this would fall under "obvious ignorance"....I guess I was wrong.
