Default Nice work KPD

KOKOMO, Ind. -- A traffic stop Tuesday night led to the arrests of two men and the seizure of $38,000 worth of cocaine, police said.

Officers pulled over a vehicle occupied by Travis Lee Miller, 18, and Anthony Marshall, 26, both of Chicago, just after 8:30 p.m.

During a search of the car, police found about three-quarters of a pound of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana, Kokomo police Lt. Don Whitehead said.

Yes I agree! I happen to know the Officers personally, one is in his rookie year. I am very proud of our men. Great job Officers Chad Vancamp and Adam Martin.

Kudos and a Big Thanks to the officers who found these people.

Here's a link to the story on the Channel 6 website:

Traffic Stop Nets $38K Worth of Cocaine

Thanks for the heads-up on this, Army! Did the Tribune bother to print a story about it?

Uhhh!!! Let me see. 8:30pm was when they got stopped. By the time they got them processed and the paper work done it might have been a little to late for the deadline. Anything else you want to complain about.

It was a nice job by those officers.

Should have been on the web site sometime today.

Still, I'm looking forward to Fletcher's story on it.

... and it was a very nice job by those officers!

Fantastic job by these two patrol officers, way to go! Keep up those types of busts and we can win the local war on drugs.
I do have one concern about the tribune article? If "wonderboy" James Lushin "knew" there were "two trips a week"?,Why didn't he fix this before now? Could him running for a public office and this "credit/bust recognition" be getting in the way here?
I am glad the drugs did not make it to distribution destination but I question James always knowing/ telling what he knew about after the facts come out??? Someone in the office called this person "Glory Hound".

Once again officers of the KPD have performed admirably, helping to bring back the creditability of this fine department.

KPD arrests five for drugs
Two children removed from home
Tribune staff report

A search warrant executed Friday at 2313 N. Delphos St. netted five individuals on drug and charges.

Kokomo Police Department Drug Task Force officers said four adults and two children were in the residence when the warrant was executed as part of an ongoing investigation. Police said marijuana, money, cocaine and drug paraphernalia was found.

The tenant, George E. Louis, 29, and his live-in girlfriend, Tenesha Sinclair, 28, both face preliminary charges of possession of cocaine as a Class B felony; and Class D felony charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deal, maintaining a common nuisance and child neglect.

Police said three individuals came to the house to purchase drugs while the search was being conducted. All three were arrested.

Dezmon Gaines, 28, faces charges of possession of cocaine with intent to deal, as a Class A felony; a Class D felony charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deal; and a misdemeanor resisting law enforcement charge.

DJamil R. Roberts, 28, faces misdemeanor resisting law enforcement and possession of marijuana charges, and Dion C. Cannon, 19 faces a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge.

All suspects were transported to the Howard County Jail.

The children at the residence were released to Child Protection Services.

Police said Tuesday the investigation continues, with more charges and arrests expected.

Anyone having further information regarding this case is asked to contact Capt. Robert Salinas at (765) 456-7204 or the Kokomo Police Department Hotline at (765) 456-7017.

We don't see Howard County K-9 program doing anything in the tribune. I hear all their K-9 guys went to the army or something like that.
