    Dunn,

Do you reallly think that government can tackle the challenge of regulating the climate? Which of thier past endeavors lead you to think this? Healthcare? the Mortgage Industry? Social Security?

Forgive me for stealing your thunder, but this is nothing new. Why would you expect this to be successful, or to even work out like they project?

Exactly my point...the government failing is nothing new. It has really picked up pace the last 20 years. I think it is time for a "change" if you know what i mean

Do you think the American Revolution would have happened if they set around talking shit in the pubs and never took action. Let's get out there and make waves instead of hiding behind names like "LookOutKokomo" or "notinkokomo". I for one have already wrote all my Representatives and sent a letter to the President. Better than "acting" like I did something.
Seriously? Why can't I do both in your mind?

Because all this energy could be focused for the real change. Not this website in order to make you feel like you are using your "freedoms" for good. Quit kidding yourself and everyone else. This website makes people feel empowered but has no real effects. Don't you realize the government wants the energy channeled this way to keep the publics minds off the real agenda they set forth. Start using this site for good instead of having it used as a tabloid where people make up arguments.

Create your own thread. This one is to point a finger at the lamp policy and say "I don't like it."

I guess I don't follow completely. That could mean too many things.

The fun part is when he starts quoting numbers for 2012-2042:

"Obama said the new efficiency standards he was announcing for lamps would result in substantial savings between 2012 and 2042, saving consumers up to $4 billion annually, conserving enough energy to power every U.S. home for 10 months, reducing emissions equal to the amount produced by 166 million cars a year, and eliminating the need for as many as 14 coal-fired power plants. "

Am I supposed to believe these figures? This is the guy who promised that unemployment wouldn't go above 8% if we passed the stimulus package. Said if we didn't, it would rise to 9%. After passing his stimulus bill, we are at almost 10% only a few short months later. I don't trust this administration's figures on anything.
Ok, he has been in office like 6 months. I bet it was his fault that the economy turned bad. What about the guy who got us into a war by making stuff up? Do you still think iraq is hiding weapons? I remember when nafta was gonna create jobs, but that never happened. Ok, what would you say if he didn't put out a stimulus, and things got worse? You would be all over the guy for not doing anything!

Just wondering because it seems that the last three Presidents have had bad policies. If you are going to pick on policies, please do so on a bipartisan standard. Only then will you seem credible...

Why are you surprised? Obama is doing what he said he was going to do and what an overwhelming majority of people voted for. For once, a politician with integrity and credibility. I voted for him and am proud he is following through with his commitments.

They call that "hook, line and sinker."
