Didn't McKillip hire a police officer that no one wanted, because he was related to Dodd ? Like I've said before, nothing changes, except the names of the players..........
Clear back to the first Sheriff it was common place to replace deputies when the current Sheriff left office. This changed during the time Bob Sargent was in office and the county also hired several officers from the CETA program. Even with the changes positions like civilian staff, jail officers and deputies were always stacked with friends, family and political supporters.

Unfortunately this process was broken because some of the people hired were worthless. The term "nepotism is alive in well" was proved to be true under the Beatty and Marr administrations who loaded positions. Luckily after these two were gone most of the civilian staff hired by them disappeared, with the exception of a few who are still lingering around drawing a paycheck. I don't agree with Sheriff Talbert on a lot of things, but I will say he hasn't hired every family member or friend he could think of like the past Sheriff's did.

Now back to Roberson, this is a classic example of a unqualified deputy promoted just to provide a warm body. His police work prior to going to the Task force was less than exemplary and officers always were and are complaining about him. Sheriff Talbert has taken Matt under his wing and no one can figure out why. He should be put back in the patrol division ONLY after going through a remedial training course in law enforcement. Finding his way around the county wasn't one of his strong points so he should be assigned a FTO for at least 30 days.

Don't worry Matt, this makes sense so it will not happen as long as Marty is in office. However a few possible Sheriff's candidates have already pegged you as one of the first changes they will make.

Since Matt Roberson is Martys boy toy he gets by with spending most of his working time kicked back. Matt like Marty are an embarassment to HCSD. I'd compare them to Baker and Lushin at KPD, now that pretty low.

I have bad news for Matt all of the canidated who have claimed they are running for Sheriff have said Roberson will be one of the first changes they make. Everyone agrees he needs to be put back on patrol after being trained how to do the job.

Also Marty share with us about your little outing with a special someone. The eyes are upon your every move, tell your new lady friend we all say hello- gotcha again Marty.

Well look at it this way, if they remove him from NARC, then there will be no replacement. I can't see the task force letting another COunty Employee infiltrate their system. Why is there such a big push to move him back to patrol anyway? because he wouldn't like it and that is what people want to hear.. If he does go back to patrol, would someone esle fill that void or that position is terminated. He does a good job so leave him be.

A good job at what, avoiding work... He was worthless on the street and he has kissed Martys ass so long Marty lets him do what he want to. We dont want him back on the street because he will have to be put through rookie training to help him learn what he didnt the first time. He was and is the problem with the drug task force unit, he thinks he some sort of hero but he's really a zero................The word waste product comes to mind when I hear his name.

ok, you are oficially an iddiot. for you to say that he is the problem with the Drug Task Force is obserd!!! but you are probably one of the officers who thinks they mean a great deal to the department and offers opinion after opinion. MM dug his own grave and Roberson was ther to listen to it haha.

My point was made again though, if he is going to be such a problem as a patrolman, then let him continue what he does. He has Marty wrapped, so we have atleast another year to carry on this worthless topic.

What are these words, oficially, iddiot, obserd????

Face it Roberson made the task force because no one else wanted it, not because he was good at anything. Since day one he has been worthless as a cop. He was and still is the problem with the DTF. He set up Miller, which Miller deserved, but Matt tell everyone about what you did.. He's no better than Miller the only difference is Miller got caught first. The guy shouldnt ever go a star to begin with and we all are hoping Marty takes him with him when he leaves....

Matt would make a good fry cook at a greasy spoon somewhere in Indy.

Robo isnt accused of taking home evidence and covering up other corruption. So when the shoe fits, the real bad guys want to throw mud on the accuser. Maybe Robo isnt a fit for the task force, and maybe it is a good thing. The task force officers have not done a very good job of keeping their laundry clean in the recent past, so not fitting in may be a good thing. Robo isnt perfect, but the accused are the ones we should be looking at, and not the one that exposed them.
Drug task force busts their competition, and sells the drugs through their own dealer network.

    Default Sounds like envy....

The fact is that the drug unit is the most desired assignment in all police departments. There are few spots and most are not qualified. That is the same for HCSD, lack of qualified candidates. It is not that "no one else wanted it" Matt was interested and qualified and for many years did a great job. Then came Miller and his gang and the whole thing went to crap. Remember Matt was there before anyone ever heard of Marty Talbert. and what does this mean? "the guy shouldnt ever go a star" man we are dealing with idiots here......and they carry guns??? To protect who???

Bullsh*t! I was part of the process, no one wanted or put in for the DTF and the put Roberson in the position because he was the lowest ranking deputy. He had no choice! He wasnt qualifed to work the streets in a car much less be on the DTF. Qualfied? He couldnt even do his daily patrol dutys without someone holding his hand, he will be a career rookie to all of us. Him and welker run neck and neck for causing embarassment.
