Notice of Forum Maintenance II

As discussed last week, we are planning to attempt an upgrade of our forum software on Sunday. February 28 beginning at approximately 1:00 PM.

The website will be off-line while this maintenance is performed.

During discussions with VBulletin, our software publisher, several potential issues were identified with the previous (unsuccessful) attempt at upgrading.

Consequently, when NotInKokomo does come back online Sunday afternoon, it's likely many features our users are familiar with will be unavailable. We will strive to resurrect all the previous features (or add new ones for the new platform) as time permits. I'd appreciate your patience during this process.

VBulletin 4.0 is a complete do-over of the wildly successful VB 3.0 series that NIK has utilized for years. I believe our upgrade will be well worth the trouble.

Well, as you may have guessed, the upgrade did not go well. I was forced to revert to backups once again .

At this point, we have filed a support ticket with VBulletin requesting their assistance. It is my hope they'll be able to straighten this out.

Thank you once again for your patience and understanding. I firmly believe once we ARE finally able to upgrade, everyone will be pleased.
